How is everyone doing this lovely Friday? I won't lie, it's not really a lovely Friday here in the Pacific Northwest, it's cloudy and kind of chilly, in the high 50s...yay....and it's supposed to rain over the weekend, bleh! But that's life in the Pac NW, I hope things are better wherever you are! Anywho! I wanted to check in with all of your bright and shining faces and see how everyone was doing, wish everyone well! I want to encourage all of you to do something for yourself today and this weekend. Take some time to do something that you enjoy, or something that's relaxing, or something that fills up a part of you that gets drained during the week. I don't know if that something would be something exciting, relaxing, or fulfilling; it differs for everyone, but I'd like to encourage you to find something for yourself this weekend! Get out there and fill up that part of yourself that gets drained during the week.
Some people are religious, and church is viewed as the perfect tonic. You go once a week, and it fills you up until the end of the week, then you go again on Sunday and get the "spirit" all over again. Even if you're not religious, try and find something that can be your "church" that fills your spirit up each week. And maybe you work on the weekends, but you have two days off during the week. If so, then it might be easier for you to try and do this fulfilling during the week when you have your days off. Whatever you need to do, do it for you! Find something that works for you and stick with it! It may take a little time to figure out what you need and want and have time for, but it'll be well worth it for you to put in the effort and do something that helps fill your soul each week. Personally, I'm still trying to find that thing that helps fill me up. I think for the most part, it's going out into the woods with Daisy. Being out in nature helps to clear your mind, and being around all of the trees that we have here in the Pac NW is therapy like none other. As long as Daisy isn't too much of a poop(pulling, barking, being a general pest), it's a good time. Time for me to recharge my batteries and have time bonding with my pup. It's all idyllic. That's just me though. Maybe you want to go to the beach. Maybe you want to go to a coffee shop and relax. Maybe you want to go to a museum. Maybe you want to go be a part of some crazy hectic something I haven't even thought of! Everyone is different. Some people want to be alone to recharge, some people find being around other people stimulating and fulfilling. Let your heart and soul guide you. You'll know when you find it!
You can try out some different methods this weekend, and see what feels right! Maybe just going for a drive is enough for you! That's kind of the beauty of it, it's what's right for you and you alone. Don't worry about what everyone else is doing. Find your niche and stick with it! Remember, this whole blog, why you're here, is to find YOU. You're not here to be like anyone else. You're here to find who you really are. You're here to find the zen within yourself and be able to maintain that zen. You're here to learn how to be the most authentic you possible. So, cheers to you, you beautiful, zen, authentic you! You got this! Feel free to leave comments saying what you like to do to recharge, and if you don't know what you want to do, check out the comments for ideas, but feel free to tweak them to make them your own! Until next time...
xoxo,
Kayla
